Hereby we would like to inform You about the application process.

 

Eligibility

You must be a high school graduate. You need to bring and show your original high school certificate to the University.

For a master program application you must hold a bachelor degree – or equivalent certificate – from related scientific area additionally to your high school certificate.

 

English language knowledge: for bachelor program we require IELTS 5.5 or equivalent English language certificate. In case you have no such certificate you can apply only for our 1 year Preparatory Year program!

For a master program application we require IELTS 6.5 or equivalent English language certificate.

 

Application Process

If the University of Dunaújváros have a partner agency related to your country, you have to make contact with them. They will help you go through the application proccess.

In case we have no partner agency in your country, read through the instructions below and follow the steps:

 

1, Fill in the Application from and send it to us in e-mail. You can download the file from the Documents for Download menu

 

2, Collect the following documents and send them to us via e-mail:

CV in English language

Motivation Letter in English language

High School Certificate in original language

High School Certificate in English language – official translation is required

Relevant pages of your passport – personal data, photo, visas if you have

English language certificate

Medical certificate not older than 1 month

 

3, After the examination of your application documents you will be informed whether you can move forward with your application or not. The University of Dunaújváros send you an Application Acceptance Letter with further information. You will also reveive your Neptun-code, your digital id number for the online administative program of our university.

 

4, You have to transfer the following fees to the bank account of the University.

the registration fee: 200 EUR (non-refundable)

the tuition fee for 1 academic year

the hostel fee: 600 EUR for 5 months (covering your accommodation costs for the first semester of studies)

the general deposit: 500 EUR (Refundable on official termination of the academic contract, if the student fulfilled all the regulations of UOD and did not cause any damage or losses to UOD. The general deposit includes also the student hostel deposit and the immigration deposit. The terms of the general deposit will be included in the study agreement.)

 

 

Tuiton fees for our programs:

Preparatory Year program: 4100 EUR / Academic year

Bachelor programs: 3950 EUR / Academic year

Master programs: 4400 EUR / Academic year

5, After receiving your payment the University of Dunaújváros will send you the Letter of Acceptance via post which is the official declaration that you are accepted.

 

6, With the Letter of Acceptance you can visit the nearest Hungarian Embassy and apply for visa (type D).

In case the visa is not granted to you, the University will refund the tuition fee, the hostel fee and the deposit after having received the justifying documents. 

 

7, Please make your travel arrangements. (Book your flight, train ticket etc.) You need health insurance only for the travel days.

 

8, Upon your arrival to the University:

You can move into your room at the hostel

You have to visit the International Office as soon as possible with all your original documents - they need to be presented only – for finalizing your registration

You have to sign the long-term health insurance contract and pay 230 Euro for the first year. The insurance is valid from September 1st to 31st August

You have to sign the Student Agreement

You have to complete all the necessary registration forms

You have to visit the nearest Immigration Office and apply for Residence Permit Card

 

 

Application Deadline

We might accept late applications, for more information, please contact the International Relations Office.

However, please be aware that late arrivals at the University - after the start of the academic year - may result in missing a number of classes which may jeopardize the completion of subjects in the given semester. Late arrivals will remain entirely the student's responsibility.
